Fantastic story. I had similar observations while a student at Visva Bharati, W. Bengal from 1987-89. I tried to explore that at the graduate level back in Canada but a backward professor who was very old school just couldn’t get it. They made life quite difficult for me. I still blog about these issues, however. The truth cannot be held down by backward authoritarians forever…
