My Take 

In an era where 'booty calls' and gang violence are deemed cool and appropriate for pop music, this album by the former superstar Donovan takes us back to another time. Or maybe I should say, it reinvents yet another mythical golden age where we contrast the stark realities of our current state of affairs with a romantic past. 

Maybe it's a myth but it's a nice myth. And Donovan's belief that music can save the world surely won't do any harm... even if it is just a hippie dream.
