I love reading news feeds on my desktop as opposed to sites like Feedly and Feedreader. Each of these has advantages but there's really no comparison if you want to find interesting stuff that other curators might have missed.
Mostly, Quite RSS is easy on the eyes, shows original icons for sources, is customizable, imports your feeds from a file, and has a search function.

Just today I discovered that there's a relatively new iteration... QuiteRss2
I find the test version is faster and more stable than previous versions.
Check it out!

Interesting for desktop PC.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I haven't found a tablet/phone version yet.
Since posting that I have learned that Quite RSS has not been updated in a while and therefore could post some security risks. Anyhow, I have found a new one that is really fast and updated often: RSS Guard. As for tablet, I tried one that seemed okay: Feeder. A little slow but it had no ads. I decided to just go with https://feedreader.com/online/#/welcome/?action=login ...cos it works!
