The Toronto Maple Leafs clobbered the Montreal Canadiens 7-3 last night. It's an old Canadian rivalry that goes back a long time. What struck me most, however, was that sportsmanship still exists in hockey.
Time is running out and the Canadiens player could have taken a slap shot to try to rack up more personal points. But he just flips the puck to the Toronto goaltender, as if to say, "Good job... see you next time."
I liked that. It gave me hope in an era where fights and injuries seem to be at an all-time high.
