This is a good article but like so many that deal with the so-called 'ingroup-outgroup' mentality, it overlooks the possibility that some groups, while imperfect, may be better or closer to the truth than others.
For me the trick is to see what works in any group and to jettison the rest. When I say what "works" I mean whatever helps me and others navigate through our days in a world marked by misinformation, disinformation, deceit, cheating, and violence.
