One of these nights... I'm going to get a date with Alexandra Daddario!

Not really. If you're up on your celebrity buzz you'll know that Alexandra Daddario is married and has a kid. But geez, is she ever fun to watch.

I totally disagree with critics who say she's a "bad actress."

The Mayfair Witches

First introduced to Daddario's acting chops in the campy but worthwhile The Mayfair Witches, I took an instant liking to her as Rowan Fielding.

A neurosurgeon who realizes she can kill people with her mind, Fielding goes on a mystical adventure to discover her true self, or so she believes. We're still in season two of the series and don't know how it finishes up, so I can't say if the superficially pretty and nice medical doctor or the full-fledged witch is the real Fielding.

Rachel Patton is about to outclass two insufferable rich snots in The White Lotus

The White Lotus

Then I came across the first season of the somewhat perverse but otherwise clever satire The White Lotus (which actually came before The Mayfair Witches). Daddario plays Rachel Patton, a mediocre journalist who marries into big money and needs to deal with a correspondingly big jerk of a husband. The ease with which she slides from one role to the other is impressive. And underneath the two characters, maybe just maybe we get a glimpse of the real Alexandra Daddario.

My guess is she's a bit like that Eagles song. Angelic but you don't want to mess with her either. A totally cool woman. And yes, she's hot!

I've been searching for the daughter of the devil himself
I've been searching for an angel in white
I've been waiting for a woman who's a little of both
And I can feel her, but she's nowhere in sight
