Let Me Out - Freedom Ride

Hey folks, this is based on a true story. I asked for a male lead vocal but SUNO got hooked on a woman, no matter how hard I tried. So I guess this can be lesbian love, or any love gone wrong.

Verse 1
“Let me out,” I said, “right here on this road,
I can’t ride no more, gotta lighten my load.”
No waiting for the next bend to come,
’Cause you and me, girl, we are done.

Verse 2
Moonlight falling on a lonely road,
Carrying a heart that won’t let go.
Alone beneath the midnight sky,
With just my guitar and thumb to get by.

Chorus
Let me out, let me out, right here on the road,
I don’t need no spa, I don’t need no gold.
I’d trade that Benz for the stars above,
Freedom’s the ride that I’m dreaming of.

Verse 3
The night was wide, no sound at all,
Waiting for a ride to answer my call.
Then headlights came, a stranger slowed,
A pickup truck and a friendly soul.

Chorus
Let me out, let me out, right here by the fields,
I don’t need no keys, I don’t need no wheels.
I’d trade that Benz for the stars above,
Freedom’s the ride that I’m dreaming of.

Bridge
Coin can’t buy the open air,
I’d rather breathe a country prayer.

Final Chorus
Let me out, let me out, where the wild winds blow,
I don’t need no keys, I don’t need no gold.
I’d trade that buggy for the stars above,
Freedom’s the ride that I’m dreaming of.
