Here's an article that suggests we're going backwards instead of forwards in recognizing the entire person in psychiatry, a discipline which for the most part depends on a medical model of suffering and difference.
I've been advocating greater awareness on this topic for decades. And there is an old article listed, one that goes back to the 1970s, where the strict medical interpretation and treatment of "disorders" is called into question.
If you are the type of person who has no interest in getting at the full truth, don't bother reading this. Chances are you are so fully brainwashed by scientism, mingled with and confounded by your delight in buying techno-gizmos, you won't care or be able to appreciate what is being said.
That's been my experience, anyhow.
